WEEK 1 ;

Keep the Saniderm on for 4-7 days after your initial tattoo.
The plasma inside the bandage is normal , leave it alone , or squeegee it out of a corner during the first 1-2 days ; if possible without damaging the derm.

Clean any corner where plasma leaks from the derm with light Rubbing Alcohol.
The plasma should dry up in 1-2 days.

When removing Saniderm :

Wash your hands w/ warm water & unscented Anti-Bacterial soap & remove the derm in the shower w/ warm water running , allowing the derm to peel away gently from the tattoo . Peel up a corner of the derm , and allow the derm to lightly peel from you.

The derm can be removed earlier than this , if it becomes unstuck , & is peeling away on its own exposing the tattoo. Feel free to remove the derm if this happens and adjust your routine below.

Week 2 :

NO Wrapping necessary

Wash tattoo 3 times per day .

Pat dry w/ a clean paper towel , applying a light amount of ointment after each wash. Pat dry any excess ointment left on the skin w/ a clean paper towel .

Be gentle around any flakes and scabs that appear .

This is normal , and the tattoo will appear dryer than normal.

Do not pick or scratch the tattoo.  Allow any flakes to exfoliate naturally from the tattoo.

Repeat these steps for 2+ weeks until the tattoo is fully healed.

  • HEALING DO’s & DON’Ts

  • NO SWIMMING

  • NO TANNING

  • NO GYMS / WORKOUTS

  • A minimum of 2 weeks is recommended for time off from these activities while healing a tattoo properly.

  • For best results : Sun block is your friend, use it generously ; after your tattoo is healed of course!

  • Tanning is 100% not recommended , this will affect your tattoo’s appearance& vibrancy.

  • No picking or scratching your tattoo when it itches. A light pat is recommended for the itchier times.

  • Beware : Pet dander will irritate your tattoo.

  • Less is more when it comes to washing your tattoo & applying ointment. Don’t over think it, ya can over do it.

  • Stick to one brand of ointment & soap while healing. Switching between various products while healing has been known to clog pores , break out skin , and cause redness. You can avoid this by using 1 kind of soap & 1 kind of ointment during the entire healing process.
